What is “Period Power”?

“Period Power” is a community-driven initiative combining health education, sustainable menstrual product distribution, and community engagement to transform how 200 adolescent girls and their communities understand menstruation.

Rather than viewing menstruation as a barrier, shame, or medical problem, Period Power recognizes menstruation as a sign of girls’ health, strength, and potential—and provides the knowledge, resources, and community support girls need to navigate their periods with dignity and continue thriving in school and life.
